Infectious Disease

Finishing my rotation on infectious disease at's AWESOME! :) I am on service with fellow med student Elaine, whom I love very much. Our fellow, Sarah, is amazing and very nice to us. The cases are fascinating and the learning is plentiful. Today, we had a nice bread and butter case of C. difficile in the afternoon.

My best funny stories are from SFGH.

I remember getting a page, "Dr. Benway, you have Mr X?"

"In room 207?"

"Well, your patient just exploded."

"Seems he needed a smoke but forgot about the nasal O2."

Mr. X lost his mustache but otherwise was unharmed.
