Back in Norcal

Jeremy in San Diego
So after the backyard camping, I watched the movie "Serendipity" in the afternoon and thought that it was a fairly decent chick flick (the key to happiness is low expectations). On Saturday, the family and I drove down to San Diego to see the Midway carrier...which my dad thought was involved in the Battle of Midway, but in actuality the carrier was commissioned after WWII and named after the famous sea battle. He was slightly disappointed, but we enjoyed looking at the planes on the top deck and oohhing and aahhing over the cramped living quarters below. Take home message of the day: Living on a navy boat or submarine is really cramped, claustrophobic, and...yeah.
Today is Sunday, and I just flew back to SJC. :)
